ELITE EIGHT (REGION FINALS)
(1) Florida Gators vs. (2) Kansas Jayhawks
Saturday, March 29th
Analysis: In a rematch of a game from earlier in the season, Florida and Kansas will face-off at a neutral venue for a shot at the Final Four. Florida’s senior class of Scottie Wilbekin, Will Yeguete, Patric Young, and Casey Prather know what it’s like to be this close; in contrast, Andrew Wiggins (and Joel Embiid if healthy), are freshman with their sights set on the bright lights of the NBA. As it may turn out, the four Florida seniors may not play a minute combined in the League. Florida set out to accomplish a goal this season, and if you thought that a site dedicated to Tampa Bay area sports and an author with an SEC bias was going to pick anyone other than Florida to come out of this bracket, well then you dumb enough to be a Florida State grad. Gators advance.
