The University of South Florida had the best national signing day in the American Athletic Conference Wednesday as 21 players committed to the Bulls.
247sports.com ranked the Bulls with the 65th best national signing day and No.1 in the AAC.
USF picked up 18 three-star prospects while 19 of their signees are Florida natives.
The Bulls’ lists of recruits does not include four-star prospect Reilly Gibbons who transferred from Stanford.
A couple of players to watch for are wide receiver Chris Barr and quarterback Brett Kean.
The Bulls are heading into Year 3 with Willie Taggart, who has produced 2-10 and a 4-8 seasons at the helm.
“You should expect a jump (in on-field results),’’ Taggart told tbo.com. “It’s Year Three. I think 75 percent of the roster has turned over since we got here (following the 2012 season).
“These young guys are coming into a culture that’s set now. That might be the best thing of all. The current players can help these young guys and teach them how we do things.’’
