Bradley Beal converted an inbound lob pass from Andre Miller as time expired as the Washington Wizards slipped past the Orlando Magic 91-89.
Tied at 89-89 with 0.8 seconds left, Miller came off the bench and threw a lob pass in the direction of Beal and Victor Oladipo.
The Magic (9-15) guard didn’t react quick enough and Beal soured over Oladipo to lay in the game-winning basket.
On the previous Orlando possession, Oladipo had a chance to give the Magic the lead but his 20-foot jumper missed and was rebounded by Kris Humphries.
Beal scored just nine points while John Wall had a game-high 21 points and 11 assists. Paul Pierce added eight points, six rebounds and five assists for the Wizards (15-6).
Oladipo scored 17 points, while Tobias Harris added 15. Channing Frye and Kyle O’Quinn each scored 10.
The Magic led 75-67 heading into the fourth quarter and held an 89-84 edge with 1:01 to play before Washington ended the game on a 7-0 win to steal the win.
It’s the seventh straight win for the Wizards over the Magic.
Evan Fournier, who scored just seven points, did drain a three, extending his league leading active streak of games with a three-pointer to 29.
Magic center Nikola Vucevic missed his fifth straight game with back sprain.
Orlando travel to Atlanta Friday to begin a home-and-home with the Hawks.
