The Orlando Magic returned home Wednesday after a brief road trip to a rude arrival by the Los Angeles Clippers who routed the Magic 114-90.

The Magic (5-8) kept it close until late in the third, trailing only 69-63 with 3:29 left. However, the Clippers (6-4) went on a 15-5 run to close out the quarter and cruised through the fourth.

The Clippers didn’t even play their starters in the fourth as their reserves outscored the starting five 60-54.

Orlando got 25 points from Tobias Harris while Nikola Vucevic had 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Andrew Nicholson and Channing Frye were the only other players to score in double-digits as they had 10 points each.

Blake Griffin had 20 points for the Clips, who will play seven road games in 11 nights, and Jamal Crawford added 22 points off the bench. Chris Paul had nine dimes along with 16 points.

Former Magic star Hedo Turkoglu had five points in 15 minutes while J.J. Redick had just three points.

The Magic shot just 39 per cent from the floor while the Clippers connected on 53 per cent of their attempts. L.A. also made 12-of-21 three-pointers.

Evan Fournier didn’t play for the Magic as he sat out with a left heel bruise. So far this season, he is averaging 17.3 points and was sorely missed by Orlando Wednesday.

Orlando are on the road Friday night when they take on the Charlotte Bobcats.
