The Orlando Magic dropped to 0-3 on the season after a 108-95 loss to the Toronto Raptors Saturday night.

The Raps (2-0) scored 38 points in the third quarter and outscored the Magic by 12 to take a commanding lead on Orlando, who went into half time with a 52-49 lead.

Toronto’s DeMar DeRozan had a game high 26 points while Kyle Lowry had 21. All five Raptor starters scored in double digits.

Evan Fournier continued his strong start to the year by adding 18 points while Nikola Vucevic had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Elfrid Payton had his best game of the season with 16 points and nine assists and just one turnover.

The Magic got little help from the officials as they were called for 37 personal fouls. The most they were called for in a single game last season was 31.

Orlando held Toronto to 40 per cent from the floor, but could only convert 38 per cent themselves. However, Orlando were out-rebounded 50-40 and had 14 turnovers, compared to Toronto’s seven.

The Magic travel to Chicago to face the Bulls Tuesday night.
