A whooping 64 players will be present when the Tampa Bay Lightning open training camp on Thursday.
The roster is compromised of 35 forwards, 22 defenseman and six goaltenders.Mattias Ohlundis technically player number 64, but his career is unofficially over.
The usual suspects will be in camp for the Lightning, including captainSteven Stamkos,Valtteri Filppula,Tyler Johnson,Victor HedmanandBen Bishop.
Free agent signingsAnton Stralman,Brian BoyleandEvgeni Nabokovwill be present as will trade acquisitionJason Garrison.Ryan Callahanwill get his first full camp with the Lightningafter signing a new dealin the offseason.
2013 first round draft pick Jonathan Drouin will be in Tampa too as he looks to make the NHL roster after spending an extra year in junior while2014 first round choice Anthony DeAngelowill also be at the Amalie Arena.
Training camp will see not just the Bolts finalize their roster, but also figure out who will be playing for the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL. Other players may end up in the ECHL or the eligible players will head back to junior hockey.
