Maty Mauk threw four touchdowns passes, two each to Bud Sasser and Jimmie Hunt, as the Missouri Tigers crushed the UCF Knights 38-10 Saturday afternoon at Faurot Field.

UCF (0-2) held a 10-7 lead in the second quarter after running back Willam Stanback caught a Justin Holman pass for a touchdown but Missouri (3-0) would regain the lead six minutes later when Mauk hit Sasser for a 21-yard score and the Tigers romped on to victory from there.

Missouri outscored UCF 24-0 in the second half thanks to a defense that had five sacks and forced four turnovers.

Holman went 22-of-36 for 209 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in his first career start. The Knights lone touchdown was setup after Jacoby Glenn intercepted a Mauk pass.

Stanback finished the game with 33 rushing yards on 16 carries and added 13 yards on three catches, including the two-yard touchdown reception. UCF runners were held to 90 yards on 39 carries.

Rannell Hall, who didn’t play in UCF’s season opening loss to Penn State, hauled in eight passes for 73 yards.

Marcus Murphy rushed for 94 yards for Missouri on 15 carries as the Tigers averaged over 5 yards per carry as a team on 35 attempts.

Braylon Webb and Josh Augusta had the interceptions for Missouri while the defense also forced two fumbles, the later of which was returned by Duron Singleton 60-yards for a touchdown with 13 seconds left in the game.

UCF will look to get their first win of the season on Sept. 20 when they host Bethune-Cookman.
