August 12 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Training Camp Notes

Another day, another training camp practice for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they continue to prepare for their second preseason game Saturday night.

The Bucs were on the field at One Buc Place again today and here are today’s notes courtesy of the local media:

• It was ‘Legends Day’ today where 50 former Bucs came to practice

• The Bucs signed defensive end T.J. Fatinikun who has been playing in the Arena Football League
• Mike Jenkins, Rashaan Melvin, Keith Lewis, Da’Quan Bowers and Steven Means sat out today
• Charles Sims left practice with an injury but it’s not considered serious
• Gerald McCoy was given the day off
• Adrian Clayborn liked having former Bucs mingle with the current team
• Eric Page, Solomon Patton and Robert Herron were returning punts today
• Kadeem Edwards played right guard with the first-team while Patrick Omameh got the reps at left guard
• Three Bucs impressed head coach Lovie Smith
• Louis Murphy had a great sideline catch and here’s the video to prove it

The Bucs have Wednesday off but will practice once more on Thursday before they play the Miami Dolphins Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium.
