Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp continues to role on and the Bucs were back on the field today for their fifth practice.
The Bucs had yesterday off but were back at work today and if you missed Monday’s notes you can find them by clicking here. As always, today’s notes are courtesy of the local media.
- First and foremost, Chris Owusu had this incredible one handed catch
- Alterraun Verner and Rashaan Melvin weren’t involved today
- Brandon Myers however did return
- Solomon Patton continues to impress
- Kadeem Edwards and Patrick Omameh worked at guard with the first team today
- The Bucs’ number one defense looks fantastic
- The Bucs have added cornerback Kip Edwards
- Practice was somewhat chippy today
- Ball security is becoming a problem for Jeff Demps
- Lovie Smith stressed the importance needed for Josh McCown and Vincent Jackson to be on the same page. They connected on an 80-yard touchdown too.
- No one’s job is “locked up” according to Smith
- Connor Barth will handle some kickoffs during preseason games
- Smith continues to endorse Mason Foster
