It’s time to rejoice as the final watch list has been released.
50 players were named to the Walter Camp Award watch list and of course Jameis Winston will be one of the favourites as he looks to defend the trophy.
If he does so, he’ll become just the fourth player to win back-to-back Walter Camp Awards along with Colt McCoy, O.J. Simpson and Archie Griffin.
The award is given to the nation’s most outstanding player by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Joining Winston is his teammate, and one of the men who protect Winston on the field, Cameron Erving.
Terrence Plummer of UCF and Vernon Hargreaves III of Florida also make the watch list. USF, unsurprisingly, have no nominations.
All four players have been named to many watch lists, which you can catch up on by clicking here.
Week 1 of college football season gets underway on August 27th and runs through September 1st.
Florida State opens their title defense against Oklahoma State at Cowboy Stadium, while UCF will play Penn State in Dublin, Ireland.
Florida will face Idaho at the Swamp and USF play Western Carolina at RJS.
