Everson Griffen
While the durable Jared Allen is probably the former Viking that has Bucs fans buzzing about free agency. Griffen may be the player who could really provide the more consistent edge rush that the team needs.
Griffen has patiently played the role of situational pass rusher during his time in Minnesota. With his familiarity with new defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and the likely Tampa Bay scheme, he could fit into a bigger role if signed. At 26-years-old Griffen has registered 17.5 sacks in the past three seasons in a much smaller role.
Few other teams have such an opening for an impact pass rusher as Tampa Bay. If the Buccaneers are willing to talk, Griffen should listen.
