Tyler Johnson scored twice and Steven Stamkos added a highlight-reel goal as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Ottawa Senators 4-2 Sunday night.

Stamkos’ goal at 16:55 of the second gave the Bolts (25-12-4) a 3-2 lead. Stamkos collected a dump in pass from Alex Killorn at the right face-off circle, skated around the back of the net with Kyle Turris draped all over him, skated out to the left face-off circle before cutting inside and skating out in front of the goal and outwaiting Sens (16-15-7) goalie Robin Lehner before slotting the puck into the net for his 21st goal of the season.

Stamkos’ goal came just 47 seconds after Johnson had tied the game at 2-2 on the power play.

Johnson got the Lightning an insurance goal 7:58 into the third when he buried a Nikita Kucherov pass that had drawn Lehner out of his goal.

Lehner made 26 saves while Ben Bishop stopped 20 shots. However, Bishop didn’t stop the first shot he saw as Turris gave the Sens a 1-0 lead 32 seconds in as he converted a nice backhand pass from behind the net by Clarke MacArthur.

The Lightning tied it 3:48 into the second when Victor Hedman’s slap shot found the back of the net after a mad scramble in front. Mark Stone’s goal gave Ottawa a 2-1 lead at 7:30.

Nikita Nesterov played his second NHL game as Mark Barberio sat out, as did J.T. Brown and Radko Gudas, who was sent back to Tampa to have his lower-body injury further evaluated. There’s no timetable for his return.

Tampa Bay completes its four-game road trip with a visit to Montreal Tuesday night.
