The Orlando Magic were on the receiving end of their first loss of Summer League action as they were beaten 80-73 by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Dewayne Dedmon led the team in scoring with 13 points but the Magic were physically outmatched by the Grizzlies, especially on the boards, as Memphis out-rebounded the Magic 34-24 and 13-5 on offensive boards.

Dedmon had seven of the Magic’s 24 boards. He also went 7-for-10 from the line.

Victor Oladipo, who sat out the Magic’s last game, was active today and had 11 points and seven boards.

After a breakout performance last time out, Elfrid Payton was quieter today as he had just six points in a touch under 19 minutes.

He did have this nice steal and dunk though.

Cameron Jones, who averaged 19.4 PPG with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the D-League in 49 games last season, had 10 points for the Magic,

The Magic, who are now 2-1 after winning their opening two games against the Philadelphia 76ers and the Houston Rockets, next play on Thursday at 5 p.m. against the Boston Celtics.
