Alex Cobb put himself on the map last year, garnering national media attention with his performance down the stretch during the Rays playoff push. Relying heavily on his devastating curveball, he pitched 6.2 innings of shutout baseball and helped lead the Rays over the Indians in the AL Wild Card game. It turns out, Alex throws some knee-buckling tear-jerking curve balls in his personal life as well. While at Discovery Cove, Cobb elicited the help of a dolphin to propose to his girlfriend, Kelly Reynolds (the dolphin carried a toy that read, “Kelly, Will you marry me?”). What girl can resist a dolphin? Seriously…touché Alex, touché.
